CISCO AppDynamics Implementation Engineer
The role of an APM and AI/Ops engineer is to work with a team of engineers and developers to deliver and maintain application performance management (APM), management tools and artificial intelligence/operations (AI/Ops) solutions in large scale, enterprise. The delivery engineer is responsible for ensuring that APM and AI/Ops solutions are successfully deployed, integrated and operated into the organization's software development lifecycle, and that they are functioning properly to support business objectives
• Among the team’s functions are APM product engineering and customizations so as to meet security requirements and enhance automation.
• design of a deployment architecture that is scalable; resilient; and cost-effective.
• provide DevOps personnel with guidelines and best practices for usage.
• promote usage of APM during the development life cycle phase.
• optimize use of APM across platforms and service delivery models.
• Focus on APM tool sets for proactive monitoring of multi-tier applications and end user experience.

Responsibilities:
The AppDynamics Architecture Team delivers solution and enables customers to achieve Operational Excellence. The delivery team creates and promotes best practices, solution deployment, adoption methodologies, usage strategies, and enhancement technologies to maximize the value of AppDynamics to customers through greater adoption.
An APM Architect is a unique position that serves as an SME for the large customers, As a SME, will be responsible for the latest innovative approaches for product usage, and goal of driving adoption. The SME will work on strategic projects to design and deliver new innovative solutions to enable customers to achieve Operational Excellence with their mission critical applications. As an SME will also take charge of a handful of our top customers, perform assessment, provide roadmap and analysis.
- Implement App Dynamic based on industry best practices.
- Out of the box thinking: Build, document and integrate new and advanced use cases for AppDynamics (e.g. Active Monitoring, predefined dashboards, and customizations)
- Engineer solutions and establish standards for App Dynamics Controller and agent deployments, including optimizations and tunings per requirements.
- Adopt App Dynamics for usage in Cloud IaaS and PaaS models.
- Devise an authentication and authorization model for App Dynamics within standard Client security framework. Develop customizations as needed.
- Architect a highly available and scalable Controller infrastructure with appropriate monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
- Define Process and build customizations to integrate/rollout AppDynamics in the application and process lifecycle
- Improve measurement of adoption: develop new metrics and track success
- Help enable Technical Account Managers to drive adoption at large customer accounts
- Ramp up and coach other Architects and peers
- Work with Sales to successfully manage account at both business and technical levels
- Support key customers to define and align their strategic goals and milestones using AppDynamics
- Collaboration with the AppDynamics team at cisco.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience working on distributed enterprise software products
- 3+ years of experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant or delivery engineer
- BE/BTech or BSc. degree or equivalent is required, industry experience preferred
- Experience with APM tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
- Strong AppDynamics product knowledge, internals, and product REST API.
- Extensive industry experience in deploying AppDynamics for mission critical applications.
- Working experience in monitoring and performance tools.
- Strong technical skill sets in Java and Unix shell scripting.
- Ability to develop AppDynamics Monitoring Extensions.
- Experience in scripting and automation like python or bash.
- Experience in DevOps processes and tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Ansible
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure or understanding of Middle ware components such as Web Server, App Server, Messaging, Integration platforms.
- Works well under pressure especially with customers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills
- Some travel might be expected
